
Ponk Vada | Tender Jowar Millet Fritters | Winter Special Surti Delight
Ingredients
- Ponk / Tender Jowar Millet - 1/2 Cup
- Lightly Mashed Khanman - 1 Cup - Check Recipe for the Substitute
- Chopped Onions - 1/2 Cup
- Salt - As per taste
- Green Chillies Paste - 1 tsp - can adjust as per taste
- Besan / Gram Flour - 2 tbsp
- Garlic paste - 1 tbsp
Instructions
- In a mixing bowl, add Mashed Khaman (Check Recipe Notes for Substitute), Ponk, Chopped Onions and mix well
- Add Salt, Green Chili Paste, Garlic Paste and mix well, add water and make the dough like that of the onion pakoras
- Deep fry these pakoras on slow flame
- Serve hot

Recipe Notes:
Substitute for Ready made Vati Dal Khaman Used In This Recipe: Soak Chana Dal for 4 hours, then grind the dal without water, add 2 tbsp of sour curd and keep for fermenting for about 6-7 hours and you can use the same in this recipe.
