
Jowar Vada Recipe | Khata Vada Gujarati Style
Ingredients
- Jowar Flour - 1 Cup
- Wheat Flour - 2 tbsp
- Dahi / Curd - 2 tbsp
- Salt - As per taste
- Green Chilli Paste - 2 tsp - can adjust as per taste
- Turmeric Powder - 1 tsp
- Hing - 1 tsp
- Water - As Required
- Oil - For Deep Frying
Instructions
- In a mixing bowl add Jowar flour, wheat flour, dahi and mix well
- Add water as required to make vada batter
- Let it ferment for 7-8 hours (preferably overnight)
- After batter is well fermented, add green chili paste, hing, salt and mix well
- Gently make dumplings / vadas directly on hot oil and deep fry till crispy golden brown on a medium flame
- Serve with chilled masala dahi
