
Jowar Dhani Chevdo | Gujarati style Juwar Dhani Chevdo | Holi Special Recipe
Ingredients
- Jowar / Juwar Dhani - 1 Bowl full
- Dariya Dal / Roasted Chana Dal - 2 tbsp
- Peanuts - 2 tbsp
- Sev - 2-3 tbp
- Rice / Urad Dal Papad - 1 Papad
- Hing - 1tsp + 1 tsp
- Amchur Powder (Dry Mango Powder) - 2 tsp
- Red Chilli Powder - 2 tsp - can adjust as per taste
- Turmeric Powder - 1 tsp + 1 tsp
- Salt - As Per Taste
- Oil - As Required
Instructions
- Heat 1 tsp oil in a cooking pan, add hing and add dariya ki dal, 1 tsp of turmeric and 1 tsp of red chilli powder and saute for about 2 minutes on medium flame and collect dariya ki dal in a another vessel
- Again heat some oil in a pan and add peanuts, saute peanuts for about 2 minutes and collect it in the same vessel where we have collected dariya ki dal
- In same cooking pan, again heat some oil add, hing and add Juwar Ki Dhani, turmeric powder, red chilli powder, amchur powder, salt and roast well on slow to medium flame or till dhani gets crispy texture
- collect the dhani in the same vessel where dhariya dal and peanuts are collected, add sev and papad pieces and mix well
- Jowar Dhani Chivada is ready to be served.
