
Gawar Ki sabzi Gujarati Style | Aakha Guvar nu shaak | Cluster Beans Curry
Ingredients
- Gawar / Cluster Beans - 1 Bowl
- Salt - As per taste
- Sugar - 1 tsp
- Red Chilli Powder - 2 tsp - can adjust as per taste
- Coriander powder - 1 tbsp
- Turmeric - 2 tsp
- Oil - 1 tbsp
- Chopped Garlic - 1 tbsp
- Hing - 1 tsp
- Ajwain / Carom Seeds - 1 tsp
- Wheat Flour - 1 tbsp
- Water - 2 Cups or as As Required
Instructions
- In a cooker, add 1 tbsp of oil, as oil starts heating add ajwain, hing, chopped garlic and saute for minute
- Add Gawar (Cluster beans) and saute for about 3 minutes
- Add Turmeric & Red Chili Powder, Salt, Sugar and mix well
- Add about 2 cups of water (or as required to adjust consistency), mix well and pressure cook for 3 whistles
- In a separate bowl, add wheat flour and coriander powder and 2 tsp of oil and mix well and keep aside
- After subzi is pressure cooked well, let the cooker cool down, open the cooker and add the mixture prepared above, mix well and let it cook for more 4-5 minutes on slow flame
- Now, Sabzi is ready to be served, serve hot with chappati / rotis or rice.
